-
College Preparatory Academy provides workshops to participants that focus on the following topics:
GED, SAT & ACT Preparatory Workshops
Students are able to prepare for GED, SAT and ACT Exams in a classroom environment with onsite instructors. This service is free to students preparing for the exams. This workshop is ideal for juniors and seniors, currently in high school who may be taking the test for the first time and for those high school students who have already taken the exam but wish to improve their scores. The workshop is ideal for students that need an intensive preparation program during the school year and wish to develop essential test-taking skills that can provide a benefit in college and in the workplace.
The GED is a high school equivalency credential accepted by 98% of U.S. colleges and employers, consisting of four subjects—Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reasoning Through Language Arts—that take about seven hours to complete total. The test is designed for non-high school graduates aged 16 or older. It requires a score of 145 per subject to pass, with costs varying by state.
